If you have a missing tooth, a Dental Implant is considered to be the best way to replace that tooth. Before a Dental Implant is even considered, you will need to have a Dental examination to determine whether the Dental Implant is the best option for you. During the examination you will have a Dental X-ray to make sure that the jawbone is healthy enough to take the Dental Implant. To receive an implant, your mouth must be hygienically clean before surgery can commence. The Implant Surgeon will then have a Titanium metal Dental Implant surgically placed in your jaw. Once the healing process is complete then the implant post & crown is fitted.

The end result is the closest thing that man can do to mimic a tooth and its natural root.

When a tooth is near the front of the mouth, there are cosmetic issues that need to be addressed. Getting the end result to look like a real tooth is a monumental challenge. The teeth next to the implant tooth will have complex color gradients that need to be matched in the false tooth. The gums need to be sculpted in such a way that they look natural. Our specialist Dentist will pay special attention to the placement of the Implant post so that the false tooth has the correct inclination in your mouth.

The other typical way to replace your missing tooth is with a bridge. A bridge suspends the missing tooth between the teeth on either side. The main advantage of an implant is that nothing has to be done to the teeth on either side. If they are healthy, they can be left untreated, whereas the placement of a bridge may require those teeth to have crowns placed on them.

How many times will I need to travel here?

It really depends on whether you need any teeth extracting but around 2 or 3 times. If you have a gap and the tooth has been missing or removed for at least 4 to 10 weeks then you will need to make just two trips to Hungary.
If you need any teeth extracting then you will need to make three trips to Hungary.

I Need Teeth Extracting Before I Can Have the Dental Implant

Trip 1

During your first visit to the Dentist, you will get a full Dental examination followed by some X-rays if needed so that the Dentist / Implant surgeon can look at your bone density. If everything is satisfactory then the Dentist will extract the tooth. You will then have to wait between 4 to 10 weeks for the gum to heal properly. The Dentist can have some temporary teeth fitted until the end of your treatment if necessary. You will just need to stay for one or two days.

Trip 2

Once the gum has healed over a 4 to 10 week period then you can return for the Dental Implant surgery. After the Dentist applies the local anesthesia, an incision is made in the gum in order to gain access to the jawbone. The bone is then prepared and the implant inserted into the jawbone with care and precision. Finally, the dentist stitches the gums and, if necessary, prescribes the appropriate medication. Once again, the Dentist will fit temporary teeth for aesthetic reasons. You will just need to stay for two or three days unless you need extensive dental hygiene treatment.

Trip 3

After the Dental Implant has gone through the Osseo integration period, which lasts anywhere from 3 to 9 months the patient returns to the Dental surgery where teeth impressions are taken and the Dental laboratory undertake the challenge of manufacturing a precision made tooth. Patients are advised to stay anywhere from 3 to 7 working days depending on the circumstances.

I Do Not Need Any Teeth Extracting Before Implant Surgery.

Trip 1

During your first visit to the Dentist, you will have a full Dental examination followed by some X-rays if needed and a CT Scan so that the Dentist / Implant surgeon can look at your bone density.

If you have previously had your extraction at least 4 to 10 weeks earlier or you have missing teeth then the gum will have healed sufficiently for you to have the Dental Implant. After the Dentist applies the local anesthesia, an incision is made in the gum in order to gain access to the jawbone. The bone is then prepared and the implant inserted into the jawbone with care and precision. Finally, the dentist stitches the gums and, if necessary, prescribes the appropriate medication.
