Periodontal Periimplantal Tissue Complex Laser Treatment (PPTCLT)

For the treatment of chronic periodontitis and periimplantitis a new complex method has been elaborated and introduced at the GMC Ecto Derma Polyclinic. With the aid of the possibilities of different procedures, complex methodology and new procedure have been developed and introduced in order to make a step forward in the solution of this complex problem. The introduction of the Periodontal Periimplantal Tissue Complex Laser Treatment (PPTCLT) is a step forward in the therapy of a hard-to-treat disease.

According to experience of more decades, the periimplantal inflammations are very similar to those affecting natural teeth. Due to the increasing number of patients with dental implants, we are facing the same problem as in case of the chronic periodontitis, affecting a great part of the population.

Periodontal and periimplantal pocket therapy is aiming to reduce the inflammation and to promote to form a new attachment. The root surface and the implant surface play an important role in the periodontal regeneration. Good attachment can be formed only in case of a biocompatible surface. Lasers play a very important role in the root surface therapy, in the creation of the regeneration conditions.

In the last decade more and more attention has been paid to the hyaluronic acid, to its role in curing the parodontal tissues. A great number of scientific publications, tests and clinical examinations proved the inflammation reducing, wound healing, regeneration promoting effects of the hyaluronic acid.

As a result of two decades of PPTCLT development, our clinic is equipped with almost all efficient assets; the patients are treated and cared by properly trained oral hygienists and dentists. The program has been proved efficient so far; it can be made available for dental practices and their patients for implementation.

Main stages of the PPTCLT program
